While doing acting the last 7 years after a long break from elementary and intermediate school in Saudi, I decided to actually go get some training in this profession. That of course took me to The Acting Corp, that teaches the basic arsenal for actors to use for acting.
This of course is exactly what I think I needed to drive home the point. As I have obviously grown… (As an actor) I have noticed something this last month since I starting working with my group, most of whom are beginners, and some who didn’t even take the workshops for acting purposes, and what I noticed was as our teacher Adrian Alita said during the exercise in the video… ”We didn’t even need words, we only reacted” Which is exactly what I heard some of the veterans in TIP tell me in the past. And most have heard me say this, One of my favorite all-time stage performances was the one that I was on stage for almost 20 minutes, and had 5 lines. Yet it was extremely memorable.
So here is the short that we shot after our second-to-last day in class. No rehearsals, No lines, No preplanning except for the last scene with the boys. And Although Kyle was Sick for the shooting days, and didn’t feel well, I did find a small reel that had him in it.
