UO vs. OSU
3 Months ago today, A game between Boise State and University of Oregon took place, and it was misserable. A 19-8 loss And I basically threw down the towel and quoted “Well, there is always next year.”
3 Months later, and all I can say is. OH MY GOODNESS!!!
On September 27th I posted a profile Picture on Facebook of an old picture of me with my OREGON Jersey in celebration of the Ducks Whooping’ #6 CAL’s rear in a 42-3 victory. My comment then was, I’ll keep a Duck themed profile picture up for as long as the ducks win. I honestly did not think it would last , but it did. October 31st came along and I was sure, we couldn’t possibly beat #4 ranked USC Trojans. But we did, we beat them a woping 47-20, and at this point I thought to myself, oh boy, this is big. Only to loose the following weekend to Stanford.
I will admit, I was a little relieved that I could finally change my profile picture, but low and behold, they beat Arizona State and in a nail biting double overtime, they beat Arizona to hold on to the contention of PAC-10 King.
Today, is Thursday. December 3rd. 3 Months after that nasty debut against Boise State who are undefeated 7-0 and #6 in the nation, I am as crazy a Duck fan as I ever was. In a year where much in my life is changing, this is the year that this game is actually making me anxious. Nervous, and if anything, down right crazy.
Today is the 113th game played in a rivalry that has lasted that many years. But it is the first time in history that this game not only has the Rose Bowl on the line, it “determines” which of the two teams will actually go to the Rose Bowl, and it determines which of the two teams are to be crowned “PAC-10″ Champs.
Today is Thursday… Today is Civil War!
